THE PARK DISTRICT
The award winning Channahon Park District features an abundant amount of
recreational activities for you and your family to enjoy. Skateland
offers public roller skating. The Arrowhead Community Center has
racquet ball courts, a fitness center and a variety of programs and
special events. The Tomahawk Aquatic Center features a six-lane, 25
yard pool with a zero-depth pool. The park district also operates The
Heritage Bluffs golf course. This course has been recognized as one of

LIBRARY
Three Rivers Public Library District serves Channahon and is a
member of the Heritage Trail Library System. The combined collection
includes over 60,000 books, audiobooks, compact discs, computer
software, videos, and magazines. In addition, there is a growing
reference collection and both Windows PC and Macintosh computers
available for public use.
THINGS TO DO
Festivals are major activities in the summer for the Channahon
community. Channahon's Three River's Festival is a popular event
offering the community a chance to come together for a full day of
events. Other area festivals include neighboring Minooka's Summerfest
and the Grundy County Corn Festival, and Joliet is only a short drive
away. In Joliet you can find an excellent park district including a
brand new water park, two riverboat casinos (Harrahs and Argosy), Jack
Hammer baseball, the new Chicagoland Speedway, shopping, including the
Louis Joliet Mall, and much more are minutes away from Channahon. For
the outdoors enthusiast, The Des Plaines Fish and Wildlife Area is a
popular site for fishing, hunting, and camping.
